BATS Next Gen is the junior company of Basingstoke Amateur Theatrical Society (BATS) and we take children from the age of 7 to 18 (1st year of Junior school to last usual year 6th Form College). We are currently arranging our Xmas 2008 production and will be holding pre-audition workshops around April 2008. Final details will be posted on this site once confirmed. Like BATS, entry to performing is by audition only, but we do hold workshops so that children interested in taking part can find out more about the characters and what is required for the auditions. Please be aware, we do not teach, but pass on experience through performing. There is a show fee for successful candidates to cover rehearsal room and theatre hire as well as insurance and junior membership to BATS. This does vary depending on the length of the term but is normally around £50.00. All connected with BATS Next Gen - Director/Musical Director, etc give their time voluntarily - no one gets paid!
